Event includes a tour of the NASA KSC Press Site

Visit the NASA Kennedy Space Center’s infamous Launch Complex 39 Press Site, adjacent to the Vehicle Assembly Building, and learn how NASA handled record numbers of news media, television, web, social media, and events and for the final flights of the Space Shuttle.

Join us for an on-site meeting with Lisa Malone, APR, CPRC, director of public affairs for NASA, Kennedy Space Center.  Lisa will discuss the news and events leading up to the end of the space shuttle program and what is next for the agency.

Lisa Malone serves as the Director of Public Affairs at NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center. With more than 25 years experience in Public Affairs, she is responsible for overseeing news media, television, web, social media, exhibits, and internal communications. She leads a diverse NASA and contractor team, which is tasked to disseminate information about NASA and Kennedy Space Center’s programs. Her responsibilities include managing media activities surrounding Expendable Launch Vehicle launches, flight hardware showings, and other high profile events.

Badging: Participants will be required to obtain a badge from the Kennedy Space Center security department.  Participants are to complete badging and meet at the KSC badging center at 9:00 a.m. to caravan to the NASA KSC Press Site.

All participants must pre-register for accreditation to access KSC.  We will email badging and directions to all event registrants.

Cost:  $20 per person members, $25 non-member, $15 per student

Cost includes a continental breakfast and beverages while at the press site.
