About Media Summit
Media Summit is one of the premier events hosted by the Space Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (SCFPRA) and typically attracts anywhere from about 60-80 Public Relations and Marketing professionals from around the County.ย For the past ten years, the SCFPRA has hosted this event to bring those professionals closer to our media partners.ย It gives them the opportunity to network with and ask questions of the top media representatives in our market, including some from the Orlando area.ย ย
The 2022 event will be held at the Melbourne Orlando Regional Airport VIP Lounge in Melbourne and will include a Fireside Chat showcasing real-life examples of working relationships between PR pros and reporters, followed by a traditional news media panel of print and broadcast journalist who will discuss best practices. Lunch is included.ย
Also included at the Media Summit event is a special Keynote Speaker, Heather Scott, Media Operations Chief- Space Launch Delta 45 – U.S. Space Force who will share more about crisis communications preparedness and how to develop excellent rapport with the media to set yourself up for success when the stakes are high.
