At Space Coast FPRA, we are committed to fostering a community where Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I) are not just words, but integral components of who we are and what we stand for. We firmly believe that embracing DE&I principles is essential for the growth, innovation, and sustainability of our profession and our community.

Our Commitment to Diversity

We recognize that diversity encompasses a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and talents. We celebrate and value these differences because they enrich our association, broaden our horizons, and make us stronger. We are dedicated to ensuring that all voices are heard, and all individuals are seen, respected, and empowered within our association.

Equity as a Core Value

Equity is the cornerstone of our DE&I commitment. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone has equal access to opportunities and resources, regardless of their background or identity. We actively work to identify and address disparities and systemic barriers that may exist within our organization and the broader field of public relations.

Inclusion as a Practice

Inclusion goes beyond just inviting diverse perspectives to the table; it involves actively engaging, valuing, and leveraging those perspectives. We strive to create a culture where every member feels welcomed, valued, and included. We believe that through the practice of inclusion, we can unlock the full potential of our membership and drive innovation in our field.

Our Action Plan

We are dedicated to continuously improving and evolving our practices to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our action plan includes:

  1. Promote Education and Awareness: We will provide resources and opportunities for our members to learn about diversity, equity, and inclusion topics to foster a more informed and aware community.
  2. Inclusive Programming: We will actively curate events, panels, and discussions that celebrate diverse perspectives and promote meaningful dialogue.
  3. Collaboration with Community: We will collaborate with local organizations and initiatives that align with our DE&I values to make a positive impact beyond our association.
  4. Continuous Learning: We will remain open to feedback, evolving our approach as we learn and grow together.
